We’ll use four breath prayers inspired by Jeremiah 29:10-14 throughout this class. Class starts with breath work in fish pose, moves through some gentle core work, and has two flows followed by a tree pose. The class ends with a supine twist and waterfall. Breath prayers used include: Inhale: Thank you father Exhale: For your plans of hope and a future Inhale: Thank you Lord, Exhale: For listening to my prayers Inhale: Lord I seek you Exhale: With my whole heart Inhale: I surrender to your plans Exhale: I rest in you Prayer used to close class: Lord, thank you for listening to our prayers. Thank you for loving us completely and for your plans for a future and hope. Grow our trust in you, so that we rest confidently knowing that your thoughts for us are continually good. Lord, we want to seek you with our whole heart, but confess that at times our own desires get in the way. Help us to keep our eyes on you, and you alone, Lord. Class winds down with a Pigeon stretch and ends in a Supported Fish. We’ll start on our back with core work and a supine twist, we’ll warm our body with two rounds of Sun Salutation A, and then move through one stanging sequence, including Warrior 2 with Cow Face Arms, a core strengthening Side Angle variation, Sky Archer, Scandasana to back, Eagle, Revolved SIngle Leg Mountain Pose and others standing postures. Class ends with a Half Frog and Supine twist. No props needed Breath prayer: I: God’s love prevails E: In every trial Prayer used to close class: Thank You, God, that nothing can ever separate me from your love and grace. We confess, Father, that sometimes we get caught up in this world, and it feels like you are far from us. Jesus, help us to keep our eyes and hearts on you.
